Photoluminescence (PL) and PL excitation spectra of pure and Pt-loaded TiO2 powders were measured at room temperature, and the influence of the Pt loading on PL was considered. We found a blueshift in the PL excitation band of the Pt loaded TiO2 powders and our results suggested that the enhancement of the charge separation efficiency in TiO2 by the Pt loading can be evaluated by PL spectroscopy.
