摘要
Salazosulfapyridine (SASP) is used for the treatment of ulcerative colitis and rheumatoid arthritis.1 As with all prescribed drugs, numerous adverse drug reactions (ADRs) have been induced by SASP.2 Cutaneous ADRs (cADRs), including Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis (SJS/TEN), drug-induced hypersensitivity syndrome, or drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DIHS/DRESS), and maculopapular exanthema (MPE), were crucial problems that should be solved.3 Therefore, the identification of biomarkers for SASP-induced cADRs is essential to prevent the eruptions in at-risk individuals.
