Tunability of electronic properties in the 2D MoS2/α-tellurene/WS2 heterotrilayer via biaxial strain and electric field

In the MoS 2 /WS 2 /α-Te heterotrilayer, a portion of the electrons in the α-Te layer can overcome the barrier and transfer to the MoS 2 layer, thereby facilitating the separation of photogenerated electron–hole pairs and prolonging the carrier lifetime.
