Growth and detachment of single hydrogen bubbles in a magnetohydrodynamic shear flow

In water electrolysis, a shear flow can be induced by magnetic fields. We study its effect on the dynamics of growing hydrogen bubbles. The hydrodynamic forces facilitating the bubble detachment and further observations on coalescence and Marangoni convection are discussed.
