WMO Instruments and Observation Method Committee put forward that 20m2 evaporation pond should be taken as the temporary international standard of water surface evaporation.Based on the observed data of water surface evaporation at the Hengshui Experiment Station,we built up the correlation among 20m2 evaporation pond,E601 evaporator and 20cm evaporating dish,then calculated the conversion coefficients of various months,and analyzed the variation characteristics of conversion coefficients.Finally,in engineering design calculations,we can make use of long-term observed data of other evaporators and convert evaporation of 20m2 evaporation pond,which makes the water surface evaporation data closer to the evaporation of natural water bodies.
