An observation of reticulocyte's parameters in patients with pulmonary dis-ease.

Objective To detect the reticulocyte's parameters in nonanaemic pa-tients with pulmonary disease,and to study the changes of reticulocytes in nonanaemic diseases which have elevated EPO levels.Methods Absolute reticulo-cyte count,reticulocyte%and the immature reticulocyte fraction(IRF)in nonanaemic patients with pulmonary disease were detected by ADVIA120blood analyzer,and compared with these in normal subjects for control.Result It was showed that the immature reticulocyte fraction(IRF)in patients with pulmonary disease was signifi-cantly higher than that of normal subjects,but not differences in Absolute reticulo-cyte count ?reticulocyte%.Conclusions the immature reticulocyte fraction(IRF)in nonanaemic pulmonary diseases was increased.
