The effect of cooling rate after solution treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-5.8Al-3Mo-1Cr-2Sn-2Zr-1V-0.15Si alloy was studied by the OM,SEM and TEM.It is found that as the cooling rate decreases, theβstabilizers increase and theαstabilizers decrease in theβphase, thus the precipitation of secondαphase becomes difficult during sequent aging, and the precipitated secondαphase becomes small. At the same time, the lamellar of primaryαbecomes coarse, and the amount ofβphase decreases. The effect of cooling rate on the mechanical properties lies in the change of the amount and pattern of primaryαphase, secondaryαphase andβphase.
