Based on 2006 year data from the China Health and Nutrition Survery, this paper uses a recently developed quantile regression method to empirically analyse the factors which have effects on the return to education in China. The results find that, with the increasing of the quantile, the optimal experience years tend to increase but the return to education tend to decrease in every considered school level. The gap of gender is largest in low quantiles but make little difference in hight quantiles. Moreover, the disparity between rural and urban tend to decrease with the increasing of the quantiles and at last become insignificant at high quantiles.
