[Annual progress in diagnosis and treatment of bronchial asthma in 2025].

Bronchial asthma (referred to as asthma) is a common chronic inflammatory airway disease with significant heterogeneity in clinical phenotypes, endotypes and other aspects, posing great challenges to diagnosis and treatment. In recent years, a growing number of basic and clinical studies have brought new hopes for improving the diagnosis, treatment and management of asthma. This article reviews the basic and clinical research literature on asthma published from October 1, 2024 to November 10, 2025, providing an annual overview of the important research progress in the field of asthma from six perspectives: pathogenesis, diagnosis, assessment, treatment, management, and special types of asthma. By systematically summarizing the latest basic and clinical studies over the past year, this review aims to offer evidence-based guidance for clinicians' medical practice, and to provide new perspectives for the development of future precise diagnosis and treatment systems for asthma, as well as for the direction of future research.
