Free volume of amorphous substances in the model of delocalized atoms

The concept is developed that the formation of a hole in amorphous media is caused by delocalization of an atom, namely, by a fluctuation shift of the atom from the equilibrium state. Such an approach to the mechanism of the formation of a fluctuation hole eliminates a number of contradictions between the freevolume theory and experimental data.
