Clinical study on effect of highly intensified focused ultrasound combined chemotherapy in treatment of liver metastasis of colorectal cancer

Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of highly intensified focused ultrasound combined chemotherapy and simple chemotherapy in treatment of patients with liver metastasis of colorectal cancer.Methods Eighty patients with liver metastasis of colorectal cancer were divided into study group( with treatment of high intensified focused ultrasound combined with chemotherapy) for 40 cases and control group( only chemotherapy) for 40 cases.Their curative effect,KPS scores,pain scores,changes in hepatic function,survival rate and adverse reactions were compared between these 2 groups.Results The effective rate of study group was 70.0%( 28 /40),it was obviously higher than that [47.5%( 19 /40) ]of control group,but the rate of disease control had no obvious difference.The difference in KPS scores between these two groups before and after treatment was not significant.The pain scores of two groups were significantly reduced after treatment,but it was better in study group than control group.The difference in change of liver function in these 2 groups before and after treatment was not significant.One year's survival rate in study group was 82.5%,and it in control group was only 60.0%( P0.05).But the data of 2 years survival rate showed no obvious difference.There was no obvious difference in adverse reactions between these two groups.Conclusion The efficacy of therapeutic regimen with highly intensified focused ultrasound combined chemotherapy in treatment of patients with colorectal cancer having liver metastasis is good,it will remit the pain and its one year survival rate is higher.
