Determination of Factors Affecting the Readiness of Orthopedic Surgery Patients for Hospital Discharge

This study was conducted to determine the discharge readiness of patients undergoing orthopedic surgery and the factors affecting it. This descriptive study was conducted with 125 patients who underwent total hip prosthesis (THP) and total knee prosthesis (TKP) surgery between October 2019 and March 2020 at a private university hospital in Istanbul. The study’s data were collected using the 'Patient Information Form' and 'Discharge from Hospital Readiness Scale/Short Form (RHDS/SF)'. The data were analyzed by using number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Mann Whitney-U test, Kruskal Wallis test, and Logistic Regression Analysis in SPSS 25.0 program.
