Inorganic adhesives for robust, self-healing, superhydrophobic surfaces

Inorganic adhesives are presented to construct robust, self-healing, superhydrophobic surfaces. The surfaces maintain superhydrophobicity after physical abrasion, and still show excellent mechanical robustness after treatment under harsh conditions. They also have a rapid self-healing ability against boiling-water treatment, O₂-plasma etching, and amphiphilic pollution.
