The biorremediador effect Cyperus rotundus in water treated with copper under laboratory conditions was developed, aiming to estimate the concentrations of copper at the level of root and stem, knowing the significant differences between treatments and estimate the variation of qualitative changes in root and stem the effect of copper; for which consistent material was used in adult plants Cyperus rotundus Coquito as biological material and as a chemical material copper element from heptahydrate copper sulfate [Cu 2 (SO 4) .7H2O], thus the results were obtained that report that copper in the roots and stems of C. rotundus increases in direct proportion to the concentrations applied and by analysis of variance shows that there is significant difference in control treatments T1, T2 (40 mg / L), T3 (50.2 mg / L), T4 (63.2 mg / L), T5 (79.5 mg / L) and T6 (100mg / L), in addition to the qualitative aspects of the root and stem increased with increasing copper concentration applied, thus it concludes that Cyperus rotundus can be used as bioremediation plant in contaminated water.
