Studies of the antimicrobial effect of the extracts of Houttuynia cordata

The antimicrobial experiment of the extracts of Houttuynia cordata was studied.It was found that the extracts of Houttuynia cordata could effectivety inhibit the growth of series of microorganism.The anticrobial minimum dosages of extracts of Houttuynia cordata were: Staphylococcus aureus 0.25%, Escherichia coli 1%, Bacillus subitilis 2%, Penicillium sp 8%, Aspergillus niger 8%, Saccaromyces cerevisiae 8% respectively.The extracts were characterized by their heat stable ability.
