Artificial Intelligence in Control and Automation Education

In this dissemination work, we mention the topics covered in a course called Advanced Control, where Artificial Intelligence techniques are employed in the design of controllers. The main topics are fuzzy logic and artificial neural networks, as well as their use in Control Engineering. We also provide some comments on these branches of Artificial Intelligence, their use, and how to implement them in hardware. There are several specialized simulation programs with packages, toolboxes, or atoms where these techniques can be tested, as well as various scientific journals that showcase applications and developments of artificial intelligence in engineering. Due to the novelty and interest of these topics, they have been well-received by the students.
