摘要
To solve the problem that effective information of acquired images is lost due to the specular highlight, which is caused by strongly reflective characteristics of the object surface, an adaptive blocks filling specular highlight removal algorithm is proposed in this paper. The innovation of the algorithm mainly involves: (1) The specular highlight image is segmented according to its characteristics and the segmentation parameter is calculated adaptively, the average value difference is used to fill segmentation blocks and locate specular highlight areas, which effectively improves accuracy of the algorithm; (2) Bilinear interpolation algorithm is used to interpolate filled blocks to ensure the regional continuity of the filling matrix, so the highlight region is restored to enhance the ability of removing highlight. Experimental results show that the adaptive blocks filling specular highlight removal algorithm proposed in this paper can solve the specular highlight problem to restore original features availably and retain both color and texture information well.
