Numerical Simulation and Analysis of Clinch Process

The method of clinching is introduced to achieve the connection of metal plate and an analysis is made on forming principle.Numerical simulation of clinch dynamic process by ANSYS/LS-DYNA software,forming process of clinch,distribution of stress and strain,and load-stroke behavior are analysed.Through the comparison of numerical simulation and the results of experiment the method of numerical simulation can be used to different thick sheet and die.
