Study on the Antioxidant Activity of Polysaccharide from Momordica Charantia L.

[Objective] The antioxidant activity of polysaccharide from Momordica Charantia L was studied.[Method] The experiment in the polysaccharide from Momordica Charantia L scavenging DPPH free radical and affecting hydroxy and superoxide radical was conducted to evaluate its antioxidant activity.[Result] The three radicals mentioned-above can be eliminated by the polysaccharide from Momordica Charantia L.[Conclusion] The polysaccharide from Momordica Charantia L.possessed the distinctive antioxidant activity.
