The crystal structure of the antitumor agent 4-amino-N-(5-chloro-2-quinoxalinyl) benzenesulfonamide, C 14 H 11 ClN 4 O 2 S, has been determined by X-ray diffraction methods. The geometry around the S atom is distorted tetrahedral. The quinoxaline ring system is almost planar with a dihedral angle of 84.4 (2)° between the phenyl ring of the sulfonamide group and the quinoxaline ring.
