Analysis on Eggshell Qualitative Characters of Baiyi Black Chicken

The eggshell thickness of the obtuse end,middle part and sharp end,eggshell/egg weight ratio and eggshell color of 101 eggs produced by the fourth generation pure Baiyi chicken within 2 d.The results showed that the eggshell thickness of the sharp end was mostly thicker than that of middle part and obtuse end,the average eggshell thickness was 0.324 mm,the average proportion of eggshell weight in egg weight was 11.44% and the eggshell color of 78.22% tested eggs was light brown.
