Study of Blending of Bimodal Metallocene Polyethylene

A kind of bimodal metallocene PE(mPE) was blended with two conventional PE (LLDPE, LDPE),and then films were blown from the blends The mechanical properties and rheological behavior of the films were investigated The results showed when 20% ( mass fraction ) of LLDPE(LDPE)was mixed with mPE, the tensile strength、 tear strength and puncture strength of the film changed slightly The tensile strength of LLDPE/ mPE film almost remained constant, the puncture strength increased a little, being better than that of pure mPE When the content of LLDPE (LDPE ) was about 20(wt)% ～80(wt)%, the puncture strength and tear strength changed little LDPE had great effects on the improvement of rheological behavior of mPE
