INFLUENCE OF PARTICLE SIZE AND PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTION OF POLYMER EMULSION ON THE EMULSION VISCOSITY AND SOLID CONTENT

Four monodisperse emulsions of particle size (75nm, 135nm, 340nm and 477nm) have been prepared, the rheology of each emulsion and their blends were tested, and compared with a polydisperse emulsion It has indicated that the polydisperse emulsion will show the heightest packing density and solid content,and lowest viscosity, when the coarse particles accounts for 80% The variation of the particle size of each emulsion in polydisperse emulsion will show little affects on this lowest viscosity
