Study on Preparation and Property of Low Smoke and Halogen-free Flame-retardant WPC of Injection Grade

In the paper,the flame-retardant modification of WPC was carried with phosphorus/magnesium hydroxide flame retardant on the preparation of injection grade WPC.Flame-retardant WPC was studied by the contrasting of physical properties,the testing of flammability,the morphology analysis of the carbon layer surface,TGA and the testing of smoke density.The results showed that the flammability grade could reach UL 94 V-0(1.5 mm)when the content of phosphorus/magnesium hydroxide flame retardant was 30%,and other physical properties could keep better.The flammability of WPC was decided by the dense of carbon layer and carbon yield.WPC,prepared with phosphorus flame retardant/magnesium hydroxide,belonged to low smoke and halogen-free composites contrasting with WPC prepared with Br-Sb flame retardant.
