Bacillus Calmette–Guérin-induced lupus vulgaris in a patient with Mendelian susceptibility to mycobacterial disease caused by a novel STAT1 variation

We reported a case of BCG vaccination-induced lupus vulgaris in an 11-year-old girl with Mendelian susceptibility to mycobacterial disease (MSMD) due to a novel STAT1 gene variation. The dermatologists should suspect MSMD in patients with cutaneous tuberculosis after BCG vaccination. It prevents both the patients and the family members with inborn errors of immunity from receiving inadequate vaccines.
