Epigenetic profiling reveals neuroimmune and fibrotic pathway dysregulation in prurigo nodularis

This study integrates genome-wide DNA methylation and transcriptomic profiling to reveal key dysregulated pathways in prurigo nodularis (PN). Lesional PN skin exhibited distinct epigenetic reprogramming that activated neuroimmune, fibrotic and inflammatory gene networks, uncovering potential targets for precision therapies in chronic pruritic skin disease.
