The concept of bio-inspired gradient hierarchies, in which the well-defined MOF nanocrystals serve as active nanodielectrics to create electroactive shell at poly(lactic acid) (PLA) nanofibers, is introduced to promote the surface activity and electroactivity of PLA nanofibrous membranes (NFMs).
