High-frequency dielectric permittivity of water and its components

The values of electron polarizability of water molecules in a medium and the values of water deformational dielectric permittivity (ɛ∞) and its components (electron (n v), nuclear (Δn nuc), and vibrational intermolecular (Δn inter)) are calculated. It is shown that T → T cr, ɛ ∞ inter and Δn inter approach zero, while Δn nuc in the range (T melt − T cr) has a maximum located at around T = 0.785T cr.
