摘要
Simulation results of graphite based metamaterial structures are presented. The numerical simulation was used to model the material and calculate the optical responses of the designed structures. Different geometries and spatial arrangements were considered for the unit cell. The results showed that the designed graphite behaves as a metamaterial resonant cavity and the grain structure strongly influences the frequency response of the metamaterial. Moreover, higher frequencies are reached by the random distributions of the grains. Resonant frequency values as high as 800 THz are obtained.
