Protection Architecture for Colorless DWDM Passive Optical Networks

We propose novel colorless dense wavelength-division multiplexed passive optical networks (DWDM-PON) with a real-time protection capability against the fiber link fault. The feasibility of the proposed scheme is experimentally verified using carrier distributed DWDM-PON.
