Fitting Functions to Time Series

Abstract The purpose of this chapter is to establish a foundation for time-series analysis of remotely sensed data, which is typically arranged as an ordered stack of images. You will be introduced to the concepts of graphing time series, using linear modeling to detrend time series, and fitting harmonic models to time-series data. At the completion of this chapter, you will be able to perform analysis of multi-temporal data for determining trend and seasonality on a per-pixel basis.
