Analysis on Characteristics of Acoustic Emission in Damage Evolvement of Sandstone

Through acoustic emission test on damage of sandstone,the characteristics of acoustic emission in stages during damage course of sandstone are analyzed.It is found that during the various stages of the damage,the acoustic emission shows different characteristics;especially before rock is broken,acoustic emission has a stable stage,which has realistic meaning to use of acoustic emission for supervision of rock breaking.
