The electrochemical behaviour of vanadium oxides in a carbamide- KCl melt at 1200C was studied by cyclic voltammetry. In the (NH2)2CO-KCl melt with additions of trivalent vanadium, an electrochemical process of oxidation of trivalent vanadium to pentavalent one was observed in the anodic region. V2O5 is irreversibly discharged in the (NH2)2CO-KCl melt with reactant adsorbed strongly.
