Clinical value of the treatment of liver abscess by interventional ultrasound

Objective To analyze the clinical value of the treatment by ultrasound-guided percutaneous puncture in liver abscess.Methods The percutaneous puncture was operated in 29 cases of liver abscess under the ultrasound-guidance.Results The body temperature returned to normal within three days after percutaneous liver puncture or catheter drainage.The average length of hospital stay was 14.4 days.Conclusion The operation of percutaneous puncture is easy to conduct under the ultrasound-guidance in liver abscess,which is the preferred treatment.
