Giant Magneto-Impedance (GMI) Effect of Multilayers

GMI multilayers possess superiority over singlelayer because the former can gain distinct GMI effect at very low frequencies. This paper summaries the studies of GMI effect of multilayers, in particular discussing the influences of materials, size of films, and insulator separation on GMI effect. The origin of giant magneto-impedance effect of multilayers is also introduced in terms of theory.
