APPLICATION OF HYDROALUMINATION REACTIONS IN ORGANIC SYNTHESES. A CONVENIENT ROUTE TO TERMINAL ALLENES FROM 1-OLEFINS

Abstract Hydroalumination of 1-olefins with lithium aluminum hydride followed by treatment with 3-bromo-1-propyne in the presence of a catalytic amount of copper(I) chloride resulted in coupling. This new development provides a general method for the synthesis of terminal allenes.
