Ultrahigh-resolution optical vector analysis based on single-sideband modulation

The optical vector analysis based on optical single-sideband modulation is a promising technique for measuring the magnitude, phase and polarization responses of optical devices and integrated photonic circuits due to its potential sub-Hz resolution and hundred-dB dynamic range. This paper reviews the recent progresses in the development of the optical vector analyzer based on optical single-sideband modulation.
