Progresses on studies of the factors relevant to risk perception for pilots

Objective To summarize the progresses in the studies of risk perception and the relevant psychological affecting factors for pilots in resent years.Literature resource and selection Published reviews,standards,study reports and monographs in this field.Literature quotation Thirty-eight published papers were cited.Literature synthesis The necessity of risk perception study and concerned issues were summarized in conducting with the concept and characters of risk perception,as well as its specialty in aviation.Such topics as ① studies on hazardous attitude in aviation,② studies on aviation safety locus of control,and ③ the relationship between psychological stressors and risk perception were mentioned and prospected in the paper.Conclusion Risk perception is one of the most important means of studying flight safety.The developed psychometric methods and tools have being effectively exerted in safety education and psychological training,and those will direct the studies and practice of risk perception in future.
