摘要
Energy scarcity is increasing exponentially, due to the rise in population and modernization, to overcome the problem we need to find an alternate solution. This study explores repurposing retired electric bus batteries as compact charging stations within a solar nano-grid system, offering offgrid emergency power. The technical and economic viability, emphasizing battery and solar panel performance. The retired battery contains nearly 80% of its capacity and remains intact, making it suitable for energy storage. The proposal extends battery life, targeting a second-use scenario, lasting 6 to 30 years based on usage. The waste of EV batteries is hazardous to the environment and organisms and can be overcome by reusing them in disaster. The combination of off-grid power and solar panels enhances efficiency, reliability, and emergency response. This concept is economical, thereafter making it a viable approach for remote regions and disaster relief. This approach showcases retired batteries as assets for sustainable off-grid energy through solar integration. The studied system is modelled in MATLAB environment.
