Adherence to exercise intervention for community-dwelling older adults with sarcopenia: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Adherence to exercise interventions in community-dwelling older adults with sarcopenia is relatively high and may be affected by programme duration. Most studies incorporated only a small number of BCTs into their exercise interventions. Such an approach may be insufficient to enhance adherence in this population effectively. Future studies with theory-informed interventions to improve adherence in the field of exercise for older people with sarcopenia are needed.
