Clinical Observation of "Huiyan Zhuyu Decoction" in Treating Cervical Spondylosis of Phlegm-heat Accumulation

Objective To observe the clinical effects of Huiyan Zhuyu Decoction in the treatment of cervical spondylosis of phlegm-heat accumulation.Methods Sixty subjects were randomized into two groups:treatment group in which 30 cases were treated with Huiyan Zhuyu Decoction and control group in which 30 cases were treated with Gegen Decoction,with a course of 30 days.The clinical symptoms were observed.Results After treatment,the clinical symptoms were significantly improved in both groups(P 0.01) ,better in treatment group than in control group(P 0.05) ;the total effective rate was 100.0% in treatment group and 86.7% in control group(P 0.05) .Conclusion Huiyan Zhuyu Decoction is quite effective for cervical spondylosis of phlegm-heat accumulation.
