Abstract Poly[2,2‐bis(4‐oxycyclohexyl)propane adipate] was formed by melt polymerizing adipic acid and 2,2‐bis(4‐hydroxycyclohexyl)propane in the presence of n ‐butylhydroxyoxostannane. This polyester possessed a melting temperature ( T m ) of 200°C and a glass transition temperature ( T g ) of 75°C. An excellent notched impact strength of 22 ft. lbs./in. was its best physical property.
