419. Effects of Motivation on Working Memory in Adolescents With Depression and Typical Peers

Adolescence is marked by dynamic changes in cognitive and motivational neurobehavioral systems. Psychiatric illnesses accompanied by cognitive and motivational deficits, such as depression, emerge during this developmental period and can cause functional impairment. To better understand the co-occurrence of motivational and cognitive impairments in adolescents with depression (AD), we report a preliminary interim analysis of how motivation affects working memory in AD and neurotypical peers (NP).
