Application of after-burning between high and low turbines to improve performance of two-spool turbofan engine

On the basis of the thermodynamics model of two-spool turbofan engine, performance of two-spool turbofan engine was improved by after-burning between high and low turbines. Effects of after-burning between high and low turbines on altitude, velocity and rotational speed characters were studied. The results show that thrust is obviously increased and SFC maintained on basic level or decreased are received by the after-burning between high and low turbines.
