[Objective] To investigate the the absorption kinetics characteristics of ammonia nitrogen and phosphorus by Lpomoea aquatica seeding, and provide a theoretical basis for metabolic regulation of eutrophic water purification.[Method] The relationship between ammonia nitrogen uptake rate and concentration was depicted using the Michaelis-Menten equation. The quadratic polynomial was used for describing the connection between phosphorus concentration in solution and uptake hours.[Result] The maximum ammonia nitrogen absorb velocity(Vmax) was 2.162 μmol/(gFW·h),the Michaelis constant(Km) was 0.403 mmol/L,the ammonia nitrogen absorption rate increased as the increasing concentration when the ammonia concentration was 0-0.25 mmol/L,the absorption rate was not increased when over the concentration range. The maximum ammonia nitrogen absorb rate was 6.442 μg/(gFW·h),the Km was 0.65 mg/L.The concentration of phosphorus decreased as the uptake time increase, resulting in lower concentrations of phosphorus and a corresponding reduction in absorption rate.[Conclusion] Lpomoea absorption show good absorption effects on ammonia nitrogen and phosphorus
