Patent of LED Backlight Technology from Worldwide View

The DWPI patent database of THOMSON group was chosen, and LED drive technology patents between January 1, 1965 to December 31, 2008 were collected and the patent database was established. With the Derwent innovation Index patent analysis system, these LED drive technology patents were analyzed deeply from the total amount of patent applications, key LED patents and key patent holders respectively. The present patent status home and abroad was compared. The strategy of developing China’s LED drive technology was also discussed.
