Label-free imaging of sub-cellular environment within various biological systems

Vibrational spectroscopy is a powerful approach for analyzing and imaging a large variety of chemical and biological systems. The versatility of Raman scattering technique is of particular interest since it can be combined with optical microscopy to provide a non-invasive and non-destructive method for cellular imaging; furthermore, its confocal nature allows getting insights into different lateral sections providing depth profile of the sample.
