摘要
A photonics-based instantaneous microwave frequency measurement with broadband signal generation and processing is proposed and demonstrated. In this scheme, a broadband triangular linear frequency-modulated (LFM) signal is first optically generated, and photonic mixing of the LFM signal with a signal under test (SUT) is implemented before extracting the frequency information in the oscilloscope. In the experiment, both accurate single-frequency and multifrequency measurements are successfully realized using low-speed electronic devices. The experimental results confirm a measurement accuracy of <±50 MHz within a frequency range from 1 to 39 GHz.
