Biedronkowate (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) okolic Pleszewa (Nizina Wielkopolsko-Kujawska).\ Ladybird beetles (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) of the Pleszew environs (Wielkopolska-Kujawy Lowland).

Ladybird beetles (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) were surveyed between 2006 and 2022 in the Pleszew district (west-central Poland), which lies in the faunistic region of the Wielkopolska-Kujawy Lowland. In total, 53 species were recorded, including two, Calvia quindecimguttata (FABRICIUS, 1777) and Nephus bisignatus (BOHEMAN, 1850), that have not previously been reported to occur in the region. The latter species is one of the rarest recorded ladybirds in Poland; until this paper, only two Polish records of this species had been published. With the addition of our data, the Coccinellidae fauna of the Wielkopolska-Kujawy Lowland numbers 68 species, which is about 90% of all ladybird species known from Poland.
