China Issued Rules on Human Organ Donation and Transplantation

The development target of organ transplantation in China is transitioning from fast growth of quantity and scale to improvement of quality. To establish standardized procedures and ensure medical quality for human organ donation and transplantation, the State Council of China issued "Rules on Human Organ Donation and Transplantation" on December 14, 2023, which were published on https://www.gov.cn/zhengce/content/202312/content_6920195.htm, the official website of the Chinese government. These are the first revision since their enactment in 2007 and will take effect on May 1, 2024.
